TOP 5 COLORFUL TRENDS IN NAIL ART IN THE YEAR 2017
So this year, that is 2017, (I hope you are in the same year as me), nail art has gone to different dimensions. Different splashes of colors, different designs, studs, and what not on that teeny-tiny nail of yours!
Let us get you ready for spring, summer, autumn and winter. Well, not you, but your nails definitely! We’ll browse through the nail color that is in vogue, and the designs or cuts that use that color! Now, let’s get you all prim and proper!
Grey scale nails or Metallic mashups: No, by Grey scale I do not mean, taking a picture of your nails and then adding a black and white effect to it. Mostly it involves setting a darker shade for the whole nail, and then sprinkling silver nail dust over it, or adding a roughly-there swipe of a silver or metallic shade. This way you have a two-toned metallic looking nail paint, or you could cover the whole for a more dramatic effect. You could avoid the darker shade and simply cover half the nail in a metallic color, that way it looks as though you just dipped your hands in the blood of a unicorn.
Soft-pinks: What you see runway models wearing these days, is this subtle soft shade of pink. Barely-there or visible nail paint added for the subtlety of it. The pink always looks as though you have just had a manicure and works with any outfit for the day, any office wear or any brunch meeting.
New-neutrals: With the dresses becoming jazzier, and the accessories becoming duller, what better way to rock your nails than letting them speak neutrally. You see, you can tell a lot by what shade a woman wears, and neutrally is bold, simple, girl-next-door yet a hard-working chic at the office.
Matte-it-out: My personal favorite trend this year is the new Matte range in every brand. Moreover, now you don’t even need to purchase new nail paints or replace your old ones. These geniuses, magicians I tell you, now have a solution that turns any nail paint of yours into a matte one. All you have to do is choose your color, apply it and then apply this solution. There! A low-budget yet stylish matte nail color. Matte is the new mystery you know, the woman wears a red shade depicting wildness and fire, but then she has it in matte, is she simple or sassy?
Graphic art or Negative space nails: These are the future of nails; their inspiration arrives from wall art graffiti, or algebra even! Cutting dimensions, adding spaces, leaving spaces, outlining a nail and so on. This year you will see nails where there are spaces left naked, and these make a statement. Nails where graphic art is applied to be more in tune with our era. There is this particular trend coming wherein you outline your nail with a glittery nail color but do not paint the nail.
Go girls; let your nails do the talking for you!
